This content is live on the Korean and Taiwanese service. It is not yet available in the Western release.
The Western release opens on 30 September 2026. NCSOFT has not stated which Korean content will be present at that launch.
Eltnen
© NC Corporation. All Rights Reserved. What this region is
Eltnen is the Elyos region added to the Korean service on 6 July 2026, in the update NCSOFT titled "Chapter 1. Lands of Sand and Snow". It is announced in the same sentence as Morheim, the Asmodian region, and the two arrived with the same content attached: Sealed Dungeons, Strongholds and Monoliths, described as places "where players can earn rewards needed for progression". Since the two factions are on separate servers, this is the region an Elyos character will actually see. It has not been announced for the Western release.
What changed, and when
Eltnen is a name from the original AION, where it was one of the Elyos territories. In AION 2 it arrived on the Korean service on 6 July 2026 with the update NCSOFT titled "Chapter 1. Lands of Sand and Snow" (official NCSOFT announcement, same date). The announcement introduces it in parallel with Morheim on the Asmodian side, attaching the same three content types to both regions. NCSOFT has published no map, level range or quest list for Eltnen. This page therefore records what was added and when, and does not reconstruct the region from the first game or from play reports.
What the sources establish
The published record gives structure rather than tactics. Per the announcement of 6 July 2026, Eltnen arrived with Sealed Dungeons, Strongholds and Monoliths, "where players can earn rewards needed for progression" — so the region is part of the progression path rather than beside it. The same announcement expanded party sizes, "increasing to five players for Expedition and Transcendence dungeons", and the announcement of 4 June 2025 established "full aerial freedom in every region", which applies here as everywhere. NCSOFT has published nothing about how the three content types differ from one another, so this page does not rank them.
What we cannot tell you yet
Before anything else: this region is not confirmed for the Western release. It was added to the Korean service on 6 July 2026, and NCSOFT has published nothing about its presence at the Western launch of 30 September 2026. Read what follows as a description of the Korean service as observed on that date. The misconception worth correcting is that Eltnen and Morheim are two versions of the same content that you might compare before choosing a faction. They are not alternatives you pick between: the announcement of 4 June 2025 places Elyos and Asmodians on "Separate servers", so your faction decides which region you see. What players most often miss is the same thing as in Morheim — the three content types that arrived with the region, of which the main path shows only part.
