Reshanta

Reshanta is the high-tier zone of AION 2, and its middle layer is gated by equipment rather than by level alone. NCSOFT announced it in its Season 2 roadmap of 7 January 2026: "A new high-tier zone, Middle Reshanta, featuring item-level entry restrictions, will be activated." Reshanta is the name that carried the abyss of the original AION, and the roadmap places it at the top of the progression rather than in the middle of it. It has not been announced for the Western release.

Reshanta is the abyss of the original AION, and one of the names the series is built on. Its return to AION 2 was announced in NCSOFT’s Season 2 roadmap of 7 January 2026, titled "AION 2 Unveils Season 2 Roadmap for 2026", which states that "A new high-tier zone, Middle Reshanta, featuring item-level entry restrictions, will be activated". Two limits on that sentence matter: it describes a plan, in the future tense, and NCSOFT has published no later announcement this site has been able to date confirming the activation and its final form. A separate zone, Chaotic Upper Reshanta, arrived on 6 July 2026 with its own rules.

The one mechanic the source establishes is the gate itself: Middle Reshanta was announced with "item-level entry restrictions" (official NCSOFT roadmap, 7 January 2026). An item-level gate is a different constraint from a character level gate — it can be reached faster or slower than levelling, and it means equipment progression, not experience, is what opens the zone. NCSOFT has not published the threshold, nor what is inside, nor how it relates to the item level 3,500 required by the Chapter 1 dungeons announced on 6 July 2026. This page does not connect the two figures, because the publisher did not.

Before anything else: this zone is not confirmed for the Western release, and there is a second caveat specific to this page. The source is a roadmap dated 7 January 2026, written in the future tense — it announces an intention, and this site has not found a later dated NCSOFT source confirming what was actually activated. Treat it as announced, not as observed. The mistake to avoid is planning to reach Reshanta by levelling: the roadmap describes "item-level entry restrictions", so it is your equipment that opens the door. What you will most often miss is the distinction between Middle Reshanta and Chaotic Upper Reshanta — they are different zones with different rules, announced six months apart.
