What this region is

Morheim is the Asmodian region added to the Korean service on 6 July 2026, in the update NCSOFT titled "Chapter 1. Lands of Sand and Snow". The announcement introduces it as a new region alongside its Elyos counterpart Eltnen, and states that both arrived "alongside Sealed Dungeons, Strongholds, and Monoliths where players can earn rewards needed for progression". That last clause is the useful part: this is not scenery, it is a place with progression attached. It has not been announced for the Western release.

What changed, and when

Morheim is a name carried over from the original AION, where it was the Asmodian homeland. In AION 2 it arrived on the Korean service on 6 July 2026 with the update NCSOFT titled "Chapter 1. Lands of Sand and Snow" (official NCSOFT announcement, same date), added together with Eltnen for the Elyos side. The announcement pairs the two regions in a single sentence and attaches the same three content types to both — Sealed Dungeons, Strongholds and Monoliths. NCSOFT has published no map, no level range and no quest content for Morheim, so this page names what arrived and does not describe terrain it cannot source.

What the sources establish

What the source establishes about spending time here is the reward structure rather than the geography. The announcement of 6 July 2026 states that Sealed Dungeons, Strongholds and Monoliths are places "where players can earn rewards needed for progression" — meaning the region carries required progression, not optional exploration. Two other facts from the same announcement frame how you will move through it: party sizes were "expanded, increasing to five players for Expedition and Transcendence dungeons", and the game offers, per the announcement of 4 June 2025, "full aerial freedom in every region". Beyond that, no route, no rotation and no reward table has been published.

What we cannot tell you yet

Before anything else: this region is not confirmed for the Western release. It was added to the Korean service on 6 July 2026, and NCSOFT has published nothing about its presence at the Western launch of 30 September 2026. Read what follows as a description of the Korean service as observed on that date. The mistake to avoid is treating Morheim as optional territory because it is new. The publisher describes its Sealed Dungeons, Strongholds and Monoliths as places where players earn "rewards needed for progression" — the word needed is the publisher’s. What you will most often miss is that same structure: three distinct content types arrived with the region, and a player who only follows the main path will see one of them. NCSOFT has published no detail on any of the three, so no priority order can honestly be given.
