Corroded Decontamination Facility
© NC Corporation. All Rights Reserved. What it is
Corroded Decontamination Facility is the Sanctuary content of AION 2’s Season 2 plan for the Korean service, and the last of that plan to be dated. NCSOFT’s roadmap of 7 January 2026 announces "New Sanctuary content Corroded Decontamination Facility, expanding high-end PvE challenges", scheduled for 25 February 2026. Sanctuary is a distinct content type from Expedition, Transcendence and Ascension Trial, and the roadmap places it at the high end of the cooperative content. It has not been announced for the Western release.
What changed, and when
This dungeon was announced in NCSOFT’s Season 2 roadmap of 7 January 2026, titled "AION 2 Unveils Season 2 Roadmap for 2026", for 25 February 2026, described as "expanding high-end PvE challenges". It is the only Sanctuary content named in that roadmap. Two limits apply. The roadmap is a plan written in the future tense, and this site has not found a later dated NCSOFT source confirming what was delivered. And the announcement of 6 July 2026, which changed party sizes and removed entry tickets, named "Expedition and Transcendence dungeons" specifically — not Sanctuary content, so those changes are not carried over to this page.
What is actually published
This dungeon has a published entry requirement, which most of the Season 2 content does not: "Entry requires a minimum level of 3,700" (official NCSOFT announcement, 11 March 2026). Its final boss is named Terminator Bargott, and clearing it yields "Hero- and Unique-grade items, including weapons and bracelets". That places it at the top of the published ladder alongside Sanctuary content generally — above the Chapter 1 dungeons at item level 3,500 and the Transcendence content at 3,000 and 3,200. One trap worth naming: the ticket removal and the five-player party size announced on 6 July 2026 were stated for Expedition and Transcendence dungeons. Sanctuary was not named, so this page does not assume the changes apply.
What we cannot tell you yet
Before anything else: this content is not confirmed for the Western release. It arrived on the Korean service on 11 March 2026, and NCSOFT has published nothing about its presence at the Western launch of 30 September 2026. The entry condition to get right is the number: minimum level 3,700, published by the publisher itself — the highest figure stated for any dungeon on this site. The mistake this page exists to prevent is assuming that everything announced on 6 July 2026 for dungeons applies here. It does not: NCSOFT named Expedition and Transcendence dungeons for the five-player party size and for the removal of entry tickets, and did not name Sanctuary. Where a publisher lists content types explicitly, an omission is information.
