Depository of Fates

Depository of Fates is one of two Ascension Trial dungeons announced in AION 2’s Season 2 roadmap for the Korean service. NCSOFT’s announcement of 7 January 2026 states that "new Ascension Trial dungeons—Depository of Fates and Tyrant’s Hideout—will also debut", scheduled for 21 January 2026. Ascension Trial is solo content: NCSOFT described Nightmare and Ascension Trial together as "AION 2’s solo dungeons" in its announcement of 6 July 2026. It has not been announced for the Western release.

This dungeon was announced in NCSOFT’s Season 2 roadmap of 7 January 2026, "AION 2 Unveils Season 2 Roadmap for 2026", for 21 January 2026, together with Tyrant’s Hideout. A later announcement, on 6 July 2026, added context about the Ascension Trial content type as a whole: it described Nightmare and Ascension Trial as "AION 2’s solo dungeons", and stated that "A Doom difficulty for Ascension Trial, accessible from item level 4,000, has also been added". The roadmap itself is written in the future tense, and this site has not verified delivery against a later dated source.

The useful published facts come from the announcements after the roadmap. On 21 January 2026 NCSOFT stated that "Raid and Ascension Trial expand with new dungeons and higher difficulty tiers—Extreme, Insane, and Hell". On 6 July 2026 it added a fourth: "A Doom difficulty for Ascension Trial, accessible from item level 4,000", and described Ascension Trial and Nightmare together as "AION 2’s solo dungeons". So the published difficulty ladder for this content type runs Extreme, Insane, Hell, then Doom at item level 4,000. But note carefully: NCSOFT stated all of this for Ascension Trial as a content type, not for Depository of Fates individually, and this page does not attribute it to this dungeon.

Before anything else: this dungeon is not confirmed for the Western release, and the roadmap that announces it is written in the future tense — a plan for the Korean service whose delivery this site has not verified against a later dated source. The most useful thing to know before going in is that this is solo content: NCSOFT groups Ascension Trial with Nightmare as "AION 2’s solo dungeons" (announcement of 6 July 2026), so there is no group to compensate for a gap. On entry conditions, be careful with the figure of item level 4,000 — the publisher stated it for the Doom difficulty of Ascension Trial as a type, not for this dungeon, and carrying it across would be exactly the kind of inference this site refuses.
