What it is

Snowfield of Sorrow is a Sanctuary dungeon announced for the Korean service on 17 June 2026, among the content of the Chapter 1 update. Sanctuary is the type NCSOFT reserves for its hardest cooperative content — it is where Corroded Decontamination Facility sits, at a published entry level of 3,700, and Chalice of Muspel, which the publisher calls the most challenging PvE dungeon in the game. Its own entry requirement has not been published. It has not been announced for the Western release.

What changed, and when

Snowfield of Sorrow was announced on 17 June 2026 (official NCSOFT announcement, same date), in the sentence listing dungeons that "will also be updated" with Chapter 1. It is the third Sanctuary dungeon to appear in the official record, after Corroded Decontamination Facility in March 2026 and Chalice of Muspel in May 2026. The delivery announcement of 6 July 2026 does not name it, so what is established is the announcement and its date — not the state of the dungeon on the Korean service today.

03

What is actually published

What is worth knowing comes from the type rather than from the dungeon. Sanctuary content is where the published entry requirements run highest: NCSOFT stated a minimum level of 3,700 for Corroded Decontamination Facility (announcement of 11 March 2026), and called Chalice of Muspel the most challenging PvE dungeon in the game (27 May 2026). Neither figure is transferred to this page, because the publisher published none for Snowfield of Sorrow. And a second omission is informative: when NCSOFT removed entry tickets and raised party sizes to five on 6 July 2026, it named Expedition and Transcendence dungeons — not Sanctuary.

04

What we cannot tell you yet

Before anything else: this dungeon is not confirmed for the Western release, and its delivery on the Korean service is announced rather than confirmed. Two mistakes are worth naming. The first is assuming the five-player party size applies: NCSOFT named Expedition and Transcendence dungeons in that change and did not name Sanctuary, and an omission in an explicit list is information. The second is assuming an entry requirement from the other Sanctuary dungeons — 3,700 was published for one of them and not for this one. What is established: the name, the type, and the date it was announced.
