Tyrant’s Hideout

Tyrant’s Hideout is the second Ascension Trial dungeon announced in AION 2’s Season 2 roadmap for the Korean service, named in the same clause as Depository of Fates: "new Ascension Trial dungeons—Depository of Fates and Tyrant’s Hideout—will also debut", scheduled for 21 January 2026. Like all Ascension Trial content it is solo — NCSOFT described Nightmare and Ascension Trial together as "AION 2’s solo dungeons" on 6 July 2026. It has not been announced for the Western release.

Tyrant’s Hideout was announced in NCSOFT’s Season 2 roadmap of 7 January 2026, titled "AION 2 Unveils Season 2 Roadmap for 2026", for 21 January 2026, debuting with Depository of Fates. Later, on 6 July 2026, NCSOFT published two facts about Ascension Trial as a content type: that it is solo content, and that "A Doom difficulty for Ascension Trial, accessible from item level 4,000, has also been added". The roadmap is a plan written in the future tense, and this site has not found a later dated NCSOFT source confirming what was delivered under this name.

For solo content, the practical question is how far you can push alone, and the published record answers it at the level of the content type. Ascension Trial gained "higher difficulty tiers—Extreme, Insane, and Hell" on 21 January 2026, and a Doom difficulty "accessible from item level 4,000" on 6 July 2026 — four published tiers, the last one gated by a checkable number. Both statements are about the type, not about Tyrant’s Hideout, and this page keeps that distinction. What is published about this dungeon specifically is a name, a category and an announced debut of 21 January 2026. No boss mechanics and no reward table have been published for it.

Before anything else: this dungeon is not confirmed for the Western release, and its source is a roadmap dated 7 January 2026 written in the future tense — a plan for the Korean service whose delivery this site has not verified against a later dated source. The mistake to avoid is treating Depository of Fates and Tyrant’s Hideout as a sequence. NCSOFT announces them together, in one clause, with one date, and publishes nothing that orders them. And because Ascension Trial is solo content, there is no group composition to plan around — what you bring is your own progression. NCSOFT has published no entry requirement for this dungeon individually.
