Fire Temple
© NC Corporation. All Rights Reserved. What it is
Fire Temple is the one dungeon on this site whose presence is tied to the base game rather than to a Korean update. NCSOFT introduced it among AION 2’s core content on 4 June 2025: "A fan-favorite from the original, the instance dungeon—Fire Temple—has been fully reimagined for AION2, with new boss mechanics, dungeon layouts, and cinematic elements, delivering a completely new experience." Read the second half carefully — the publisher is saying the name returns and the content does not.
What changed, and when
Fire Temple is one of the dungeons players remember from the original AION, which is why NCSOFT announced its return among the core content of the sequel on 4 June 2025. The wording of that announcement is the whole point of this page: the dungeon has been "fully reimagined", with "new boss mechanics, dungeon layouts, and cinematic elements, delivering a completely new experience". The same announcement sets the scale of the game’s dungeon content — "AION2 will offer over 200 dungeons, ranging from solo instances to group dungeons for four or eight players" — though party sizes were later changed: on 6 July 2026 NCSOFT stated they were "expanded, increasing to five players for Expedition and Transcendence dungeons".
What is actually published
There is no boss-by-boss guidance to give, and the reason is worth stating: NCSOFT announced that Fire Temple has "new boss mechanics" (official announcement, 4 June 2025) without publishing any of them. That makes knowledge of the original AION version actively misleading here rather than merely outdated — the publisher has said the encounters are new. On party size, note the two dated statements: four or eight players for group dungeons per the announcement of 4 June 2025, and five players for Expedition and Transcendence dungeons per the announcement of 6 July 2026. The more recent statement covers those two dungeon types specifically, and Fire Temple is announced as an instance dungeon.
What we cannot tell you yet
The trap on this page is the one thing that makes it different from every other dungeon page on this site: because Fire Temple is a returning name, you will find guides written for the original AION, and they will look relevant. NCSOFT states the dungeon has been "fully reimagined" with "new boss mechanics" (official announcement, 4 June 2025) — so those guides describe encounters that no longer exist. Where you will block is therefore unknowable from the published record, and this page will not pretend otherwise. On the entry condition, be careful with party size: two official statements exist, from 4 June 2025 and 6 July 2026, and they differ. As on every page here: NCSOFT has not announced what content the Western launch of 30 September 2026 opens with.
