This release covers the debut episode of AION2NIGHT, the official livestream series NCSOFT ran through the pre-launch period, broadcast at 8 PM Korean time on 29 May 2025 with lead developers present. It announced that Focus Group Test applications were "now open to all players through June 12", and that community forums were live, "allowing legacy players to reclaim their original character names". NCSOFT stated the series would continue as a regular fixture up to launch — and it did, with a further episode reported on 12 August 2025.

One detail here has practical value beyond its date: the name reclamation for players of the original AION. It tells you that NCSOFT treated continuity with the first game as something worth engineering, not just marketing — the same signal as building the logo on flight and reimagining Fire Temple rather than replacing it.
