Chapter 1 — Lands of Sand and Snow
© NC Corporation. All Rights Reserved. What was announced
Chapter 1. Lands of Sand and Snow, delivered 6 July 2026, is the largest update the Korean service has received and the last before the Western launch. It added the ninth class, the Brawler — "Using its dedicated weapon, the Gauntlets, the Brawler specializes in front-line attacks and combo-based charges" — raised the level cap to 50, added the regions Morheim and Eltnen, two dungeons at item level 3,500, and expanded parties to five players. It has not been announced for the Western release.
Where it sits in the record
The release is dense with firsts. The Brawler arrives with one free character slot for all players; "Basic attacks and active skills generate Rage, and reaching a certain Rage gauge triggers a Rampage state". Progression expanded: "The level cap has increased to 50, while Stigma skills can now be enhanced up to level 25." New regions Morheim and Eltnen arrived "alongside Sealed Dungeons, Strongholds, and Monoliths where players can earn rewards needed for progression". Two dungeons were unveiled, both requiring "level 50 and a minimum item level of 3,500".
What it actually changed
The Brawler entry is the most consequential fact on this page for a Western reader, and this site treats it carefully. NCSOFT published its weapon, its resource and its state — Gauntlets, Rage, Rampage — which it has done for no other class. And it has published nothing about whether the Brawler will be present at the Western launch of 30 September 2026, which is why this site does not carry a Brawler class page: the floor here forbids publishing what we cannot establish. The other structural changes: entry tickets removed for Expedition and Transcendence dungeons, with rewards moving to Odyle Energy, and party sizes raised to five.
What to be careful with
Before anything else: this applies to the Korean service, and NCSOFT has published nothing about which of it opens in the West on 30 September 2026. The question this page gets asked most is whether the Brawler will be there. The honest answer is that nobody outside NCSOFT knows: the class exists in Korea since 6 July 2026, three months before the Western launch, with its mechanics published — and the publisher has said nothing about the West. This site will not infer from the timing in either direction. What is established: level cap 50, Stigma enhancement to level 25, five-player parties, and item level 3,500 for the two new dungeons.
