Class care and the next Sanctuary
Generated illustrationWhat was announced
On 3 September 2026, an official AION2 notice for the Korean service reported that the temporary maintenance scheduled for 4 September had been completed and set out a class-care pass prepared ahead of the next update. The note describes adjustments across several classes rather than presenting a new class or a new release. It also changes the Spacetime Rift Domination participant range from a minimum of 60 and a maximum of 200 to a minimum of 25 and a maximum of 500, and records a fix for the Monolith remaining after the event ended. In the Abyss, Watcher Kaira is set to appear every four hours from the 01:00 KST reference stated in the notice. The same first-hand notice announces a new Sanctuary for 9 September, written in Korean as 비탄의 설원. The site’s earlier official record used Snowfield of Sorrow for this Sanctuary. This is a Korean-service actuality; it does not establish a Western date or an official English title.
Where it sits in the record
On 9 September 2026, the official Korean notice for the scheduled regular maintenance said that the maintenance was completed and that the game could be used again. This confirms that the date announced for the new Sanctuary 비탄의 설원 has passed and that a Korean-service game update was completed. The completion notice does not enumerate its contents, so it does not by itself prove that the Sanctuary was delivered, nor does it publish an official English title or a Western date. The earlier class-care notice remains the source for the planned date; this page now records the measured transition from an announced schedule to completed maintenance.
What it actually changed
For a Korean-service player, the practical checklist is to reread the full class tables after the maintenance rather than relying on an old build note, and to expect smaller or much larger Spacetime Rift Domination groups than the former 60–200 range allowed. The Monolith fix changes the end-state of that event, while the four-hour Watcher Kaira cadence gives Abyss groups a more regular planning reference. The new Sanctuary is scheduled for 9 September, but this page does not pretend that a schedule equals a delivered dungeon. The site’s existing Snowfield of Sorrow page remains the background record; this page is the dated change around it. For Western readers, the visible Korean-service warning is essential: neither the notice nor the Korean title proves that the same content is available in the Western service.
What to be careful with
Three mistakes are easy here. First, a Korean-service schedule can be mistaken for a Western launch calendar; this page keeps the 9 September Sanctuary schedule in its service context and does not move the established Western calendar. Second, an announced Sanctuary can be treated as delivered merely because the older site page already has a name; the notice schedules the update, while delivery still needs a later confirmation. Third, 비탄의 설원 can be silently replaced by an assumed English title. The site uses Snowfield of Sorrow because that is the earlier recorded mapping, not because this notice publishes that English wording. The exact skill numbers and every class row belong to the full Korean notice, not to a guessed summary. No publisher quotation is translated here. This page therefore gives readers a dated, useful account without turning Korean evidence into a Western promise.
