September 16 update note — Abyss, Sanctuary and class changes
Generated illustrationWhat was announced
NCSOFT’s Korean AION2 update note for 16 September 2026 records changes to Spacetime Rift Conquest, the Abyss, Shugo Festa, the Sanctuary 비탄의 설원, equipment, class ranking rewards, Soul Crystal acquisition, class skills and known errors. It also introduces the Invitation to the Abyss Daeva Pass, with purchase and reward windows in the Korean service. This page is a dated record of the Korean service only; it does not establish Western availability, a Western patch date or an official English name for every Korean term.
Where it sits in the record
The first-hand source is https://aion2.plaync.com/ko-kr/board/update/view?articleId=6aa99cb8a279104f7d9d5c34. The note was posted on 15 September 2026 at 19:30 UTC and modified on 16 September at 02:50 UTC; its correction line adds the Command quest as a Soul Crystal source. The note records higher Monolith-attack scores and movement limits during Spacetime Rift Conquest, unbound Potential Amplification Stones in the Abyss, adjustments to Shugo Festa objects, a 10% health reduction for the Easy bosses in 비탄의 설원, new Abyss equipment, revised set effects and class changes. It also lists a Korean-service Daeva Pass purchase window from 16 September after maintenance to 6 October at 05:00, with rewards claimable until the 7 October maintenance. No Western implementation or English localisation is stated.
What it actually changed
For Korean-service players, this page is a dated map of what changed in the 16 September update: check the affected Sanctuary bosses, Abyss equipment and class skills against the live service before planning a build. Treat every Korean-service date and reward window as local to that notice. For Western readers, use it as preparation context only; the note does not establish that these changes will ship with the Western PC launch. Keep the Korean names visible when no official English form is published.
What to be careful with
This page prevents a Korean-to-Western launch mix-up. The note is a first-hand Korean-service record, not a Western patch note; future Western availability, dates and English names remain UNKNOWN unless a Western source establishes them. It also keeps the update separate from durable guides: the note says what changed, while the linked Abyss, Rift, Sanctuary and class pages explain how to use a confirmed rule.
