September 9 update note — the new Sanctuary and system changes

An official Korean AION2 update note published on 9 September 2026 records a substantial service update. It adds the Sanctuary written 비탄의 설원 in three difficulties, a new equipment slot written 인장, new crafting and conversion routes, and a Sanctuary Hall of Fame for the first three cross-server clears on hard difficulty. It also changes Spacetime Rift Conquest: groups use four garrisons instead of five, the battle lasts 15 minutes instead of 25, and several contribution and reward rules change. The note also documents Abyss Rift Zone, streamer-mode, wardrobe, praise, matchmaking and interface changes. This is Korean-service evidence; the note does not publish an official English title or a Western schedule.

This is the implementation note for 9 September, not the earlier 1 September plan or the 3 September class-care notice. The note describes the live service changes in detail: the new Sanctuary has three difficulties; its Hall of Fame records character, server, legion, class, combat power, item level, force, order, date and clear time for the first three hard clears; and the new 인장 slot can be supplied through the new Sanctuary or equipment-change-ticket and kinah conversion routes. Spacetime Rift Conquest also receives a shorter battle, fewer garrisons and revised victory and contribution rules. The Korean source does not establish that these changes are present in the Western service.
