100 days since launch

The hundred-day update of 23 February 2026 delivered the first Transcendence dungeon of Season 2 and, quietly, one of the game’s more consequential structural changes. NCSOFT introduced Abyss of Chaos — "a new matching format that allows faction-independent battles such as Elyos vs. Elyos and Asmodians vs. Asmodians" — and lifted all server creation restrictions. It also shipped Sunken Temple of Life, the dungeon the January roadmap had announced under a different name. It has not been announced for the Western release.

This update marks 100 days since the Korean launch. Its content: "the Transcendence dungeon Sunken Temple of Life, the new Arcana part Scales, two new Arcana set effects, 100-day anniversary events, and further refinements to Abyss content". The dungeon is "a deep-sea-themed dungeon where the boss monster Sunken Emon awaits adventurers", with entry at "a minimum item level of 3,000, with higher difficulty tiers requiring progressively higher item levels". The January roadmap had called it Submerged Life Temple — the name changed on delivery.

Two facts here have long reach. Abyss of Chaos allows same-faction battles, which means Abyss content stops depending on both sides showing up in equal numbers — a structural answer to the oldest problem of two-faction PvP. And the Arcana part Scales is gated to this dungeon: "Scales can be crafted exclusively using Harmonious Crystal, a material obtained from Sunken Temple of Life", with set effects Frenzy, increasing boss damage amplification by 5%, and Pure Blood. That makes item level 3,000 the published floor for a specific gear path, not just for a dungeon.

Before anything else: this update applies to the Korean service, and NCSOFT has published nothing about its state at the Western launch of 30 September 2026. The mistake this page prevents is a naming one: if you search for Submerged Life Temple you will find the January roadmap, and if you search for Sunken Temple of Life you will find the dungeon that shipped. Same content, two official names, and this site uses the delivery one. The second thing to take away is Abyss of Chaos: after this date, "the Abyss" means at least three different matching formats, and a guide that does not say which one is describing a third of the picture.
