Season 2 roadmap

On 7 January 2026, NCSOFT published its Season 2 plan and its first hard business numbers: "AION 2 surpasses KRW 100 billion in revenue within 46 days of launch, with over 1 million characters purchasing memberships". The content plan named the dungeons, raids and trials of the season and dated them week by week — and it is the reason nine dungeon pages on this site exist. It is also a plan, written in the future tense. It has not been announced for the Western release.

The roadmap set out Season 2 from 21 January 2026: "New Expedition dungeon Dying Dramata’s Nest will be introduced", "Additional Expedition dungeon Cradle of Nihility will follow", "new raid content such as Fallen Orcus’s Heart and Farfnite Forge", "new Ascension Trial dungeons—Depository of Fates and Tyrant’s Hideout—will also debut", "New Transcendence content, Submerged Life Temple… featuring difficulty levels from Stage 1 to Stage 10", "New Sanctuary content Corroded Decontamination Facility", and "A new high-tier zone, Middle Reshanta, featuring item-level entry restrictions". One of those names changed on delivery: Submerged Life Temple shipped as Sunken Temple of Life.

This page carries the single most important reading rule on the site: a roadmap is not a delivery. Everything above is written in the future tense, and this site has checked each item against the announcements that followed. Some were delivered and named differently — Sunken Temple of Life. Some were delivered with numbers the roadmap did not give — Corroded Decontamination Facility, at a published minimum level of 3,700. And some have no delivery announcement at all. A guide that quotes this roadmap as fact is quoting an intention.

Before anything else: none of this is confirmed for the Western release. The mistake this page exists to prevent is the most common one in games coverage — treating a dated roadmap as a dated fact. It is not. The revenue figure is different in kind and worth keeping: KRW 100 billion in 46 days, with over a million characters holding memberships, is the publisher stating its own commercial result, and it explains why content has arrived every two to three weeks since. And note the phrasing "such as" on the raids: the list is explicitly not exhaustive.
